Dave Hester filed papers against A&E and Original Productions in December 2012. His lawsuit stated that he was wrongfully fired when he claimed that the lockers were salted with valuable merchandise for the competitors to bid on. Originally, A&E Network and Original Productions submitted $181457 in legal fees. Break that down and you have A&E suing for $138,194, while Original Productions wanted $43,263. Apparently, A&E had the expense of eight attorneys who collected $260 to $485 per hour, and four paralegals who were paid at a different rate.
